July Fourth Celebration

Children ages 12 and under get free admission on Monday, July 4, at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center! Enjoy special, family-friendly patriotic activities during regular museum hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., including performances by Redstone Arsenal’s Army Materiel Command Band and special activities to celebrate America’s return to Jupiter as NASA’s Juno spacecraft begins its Jupiter Orbital Insertion maneuver and prepares to capture remarkable images of Milky Way’s Gas Giant for the first time in 16 years.

The Rocket Center will close at 5 p.m., and there are no evening activities inside the park on July 4. Instead, the Center will launch its largest fireworks display ever for the city of Huntsville at 9 p.m.

We will not be selling parking passes for the event.

For the safety of our guests, the larger fireworks display requires that we close the parking lot in front of the Davidson Center for Space Exploration, and very limited parking is available in the main lot. We encourage guests to view the breathtaking, patriotic show from other areas in the vicinity of the Rocket Center.
