Visit the U.S. Space & Rocket Center for Huntsville's largest fireworks display and July 4th celebration! Bring the whole family and enjoy delicious food, patriotic entertainment and breathtaking fireworks - the largest show in town! Build your own rocket, experience Space Shot and meet TOPPS and RamJet from the USSRC. The celebration is from 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. on July 4, with the fireworks show beginning at 9 p.m.


A customized parking pass will be emailed to you approximately one week prior to the event. You must use parking pass holder's legal name and a valid email address at the time of purchase. A photo ID matching the name on the parking pass will be required for entry into the event.

Parking passes valid for standard passenger vehicles only. One pass per vehicle is required.


There are a limited number of passes available and they may be purchased on-site at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center on Friday, July 4, 2014. Passes are available beginning at 10 a.m. as you enter the main parking lot or during regular museum hours at the Guest Services Ticket Desk.


Patrons are encouraged to arrive early (6 p.m.) and enjoy all the on-site activities. In addition to the fireworks, there will be:

  • A kid's zone with activities such as building paper rockets, a moon bounce, face painting and chalk art.
  • Rocket Park activities (G-Force, Space Shot and Kids Cosmos) will be open at no additional charge.
  • TOPPS and RamJet, the mascots at the USSRC, will be on-site for photos with the guests.
  • The 274th Army Materiel Command Band will provide entertainment from 6-9 p.m.


No outside food or beverages will be permitted inside the event.

Food and beverages will be available to purchase. Enjoy hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, cotton candy, shaved ice, popcorn, beer, soda and water.


The main museum, all traveling exhibits and Davidson Center for Space Exploration will all be CLOSED during this time.

Children 12 years old and under get in free to the USSRC during regular business hours on July 4.

No refunds will be issued
in the event of inclement weather.
