The U.S. Space & Rocket Center is holding Huntsville's largest fireworks display and July 4th celebration! This fun-filled night includes children’s activities, delicious food and patriotic entertainment for the whole family. Admission is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on July 4. Fireworks begin at 9 p.m.

PURCHASING YOUR PASS:

Parking for this event is $20, and a limited number of passes are available online here through July 3, 2015, at 3 p.m. Any remaining tickets will be available on-site at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center through Saturday, July 4, 2015 at 4:30 p.m. The parking pass also provides entrance to the Center grounds for all evening’s activities.

No passes will be sold after 4:30 p.m. on July 4, 2015.

PARKING:

The customized parking pass will be emailed to you approximately up to one week prior to the event. You must use the parking pass holder's legal name and a valid email address at the time of purchase. A photo ID matching the name on the parking pass will be required for entry into the event.

Parking passes are valid for standard passenger vehicles only. One pass per vehicle is required.

ACTIVITIES:

To ensure safety, patrons must be parked between 6 and 8 p.m. In addition to the fireworks, activities on the grounds of the U.S. Space & Rocket Center include:

  • Kid's zone with activities: Moon bounce, face painting, chalk art and more.
  • Rocket Park simulators: G-Force, Space Shot and Kids Cosmos will be open at no additional charge.
  • Mascots: TOPPS and RamJet, the Space Camp® and Aviation Challenge® mascots will be on-site for photos with the guests.
  • Music: The U.S. Army Materiel Command Big Bang Brass Band will provide entertainment from 6 to 9 p.m.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE:

No outside food or beverages will be permitted inside the event.

Food and beverages will be available to purchase. Enjoy hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers, barbecue and more. Water, soda, beer and wine will also be available for purchase.

MUSEUM:

The main museum, all traveling exhibits and Davidson Center for Space Exploration will all be CLOSED during this time.

Children ages 12 years old and under get in free to the Rocket Center during museum business hours between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on July 4.


No refunds will be issued
in the event of inclement weather.

Can I be dropped off?
Yes

Can I arrive on a bike?
Yes

How large can my car be?
Any standard size passenger vehicle is allowed. This excludes RVs, campers, buses, passenger vans.

When will I receive my pass?
Passes will be emailed to each customer beginning Monday, June 29th 2015

May I use my pass on a mobile device?
Yes, to expedite entrance into the parking lot, please have pass ready to show security. A paper pass will be distributed to each car with a mobile pass.

Do I have to print my pass?
In order to expedite the parking process, it is strongly recommended, but not required.

What are the normal business hours on the 4th of July?
9am-4pm

What are the hours for the evening event?
6pm-10pm

What time does the firework show begin?
9pm

What is included in the $20 pass?
Parking, entrance to the park, kids zone, simulators, live entertainment and fireworks

Will the simulators be open?
Yes, the outdoor simulators will be open.

May I bring outside food and beverage?
No, food and beverage will be available for purchase. Are pets allowed? No.

Will I have access to the indoor museum?
The Mars Grill and bathrooms will be accessible but indoor exhibit space will not be available.

May I bring blankets/chairs?
Yes

If it rains, may I receive a refund?
No, in case of inclement weather all activities (excluding fireworks) will be moved indoors.

Will wheelchairs be available?
Yes, there will be a limited number of wheelchairs available.

Is the evening event included in daily admission?
No, the evening event is a separate charge from museum daily admission.

Will there be adult beverage for purchase?
Yes, beer and wine will be available for purchase.

Will the gift shop be open?
There will be 4th of July and space themed merchandise available in the park.

Will there be an ATM available?
No

How can I purchase 4th of July passes?
Passes may be purchased online at spacecampstore.com until 3pm on July 3, 2015. A limited number of passes may be available and may be purchased on-site at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center Saturday, July 4, 2015. Passes will be sold at the entrance to the main parking lot from 10 a.m. to 4:30pm, or at the Guest Services Ticket Desk in the museum from 9 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tickets will not be sold after 4:30 p.m.
