HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The U.S. Space & Rocket Center is celebrating this 4th of July by offering a patriotic gift to the community. During regular museum of hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., children ages 12 and under get free admission, and family-friendly patriotic activities are planned throughout the day.
The Rocket Center will close at 5 p.m., and no evening activities are planned inside the park on July 4. Instead, the Center will launch the city’s largest fireworks display at 9 p.m. For the safety of our guests, the display requires we close the parking lot in front of the Davidson Center for Space Exploration. Very limited parking is available in the main museum parking lot, and we encourage guests view the breathtaking, patriotic show from other areas in the vicinity of the Rocket Center.
