Explore the International Space Station on Google Street View!

Google Maps now offers at 360 degree tour of the International Space Station. Thomas Pesquet, an astronaut with the European Space Agency, spent six months working aboard the ISS, capturing "Street View" images for Google. "Working with Google on my latest mission, I captured Street View imagery to show what the ISS looks like from the inside, and share what it’s like to look down on Earth from outer space," he said in a blog post published by Google. Pesquet said the Street View team worked with both NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston and Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville. "Because of the particular constraints of living and working in space, it wasn't possible to collect Street View using Google's usual methods." The NASA agencies worked together to create a gravity-free method of collecting images using cameras already aboard the ISS. To go behind the scenes and explore the view, click here.
