Welcome to Space Camp!
Since 1982, we’ve given trainees of all ages a hands-on, STEM-powered chance to train like astronauts. Space Camp is where learning meets adventure — and we can’t wait to share it with you.
Why Choose Space Camp?
Space Camp is a one-of-a-kind experience at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, the Official Visitor Center for NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center. Each year, trainees travel from across the U.S. and more than 70 countries to learn space and flight history, work as a team, run simulated space missions, and discover what it really takes to be an astronaut.
The Rocket City
Huntsville’s space history shapes every mission at Camp. Home to Dr. Wernher von Braun’s rocket team and the Saturn V moon rocket, the city grew into a hub for space science and technology — earning its nickname, “The Rocket City.” [Learn more about our history →]
See History Up Close
Trainees explore real spaceflight artifacts, including our Saturn V rocket — a National Historic Landmark and the Smithsonian’s largest artifact — the Apollo 12 moon rock, the mobile quarantine facility, and the Pathfinder Space Shuttle.
